资源简介:
Despite the importance of understanding of ecological processes in athalassohaline desert ecosystem, little is known about indigenous micro flora, functional diversity, biotechnologically potential genes, biogeochemical processes and carbon sequestration abilities. There is great challenge and interest to characterize functional abilities and phylogenetic identification of microbial community, especially for oligotrophic athalassohaline ecosystem. To access obscured information in soil metagenome, short read sequence library was prepared by shotgun sequencing technique. Present study proposes that the high precipitation of salt, metal ions, high salinity are limiting factor for microbial community diversity in analyzed soil and thrust the microbial community to acclimatize or develop strategies to survive in such extreme conditions. This study is an effort to understand phylogenetic and functional diversity of indigenous microflora in such extreme ecosystem and to prepare a base for further mining of knowledge about saline extreme environments.
