VPRS 18809 Annual Reports

This series comprises the annual reports of the Queen Victoria Medical Centre (VA 1254). The annual reports provide detailed lists of hospital personnel including: honorary medical staff, honorary consulting staff, Committee of Management (to 1973-74), Office Bearers, Life Governors, Subscribers, original honorary medical staff (in the year 1896), Board members (from 1974-75), senior staff, nursing staff, contributors and donors.  They include the reports from the different departments of the hospital, including ancillary departments such as pharmacy, dietary, almoner, welfare, occupational therapy and pathology. They also include financial statements and statistical returns for the year. In addition the annual reports contain photographs of people, functions, activities and buildings.  Until 1944, the annual reports incorporated the annual reporting for the Central Council of Auxiliaries. After that date, the Central Council of Auxiliaries Annual Report has been inserted in the binder behind the Hospital's annual report for that year until 1983.
