Marine bioreactor and seawater batch culture bacterial communities from the Santa Barbara Channel

This BioProject contains 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing data from marine bioreactor and seawater batch culture experiments conducted using coastal seawater from the Santa Barbara Channel, California. Flow-through glass-column bioreactors packed with inert beads were used to assess the bioavailability of dissolved organic matter under standardized, high-biomass attached conditions, and results were compared to parallel seawater batch culture incubations. Samples include bioreactor bead biofilms, bioreactor effluent, and incubation water collected at multiple time points. These data support analyses of microbial community composition associated with dissolved organic matter degradation in marine systems.
