This study was done to draft the first complete genome of the benthic cyanobacteria Nostochopsis. Biomass was collected from rocks and sediment along the southwest shoreline of Honeoye Lake, NY, USA on August 5, 2024. Short and long read sequences from the same DNA extraction were combined to assemble this drafted genome.
