Transcriptome analysis of migrating B cells to the Bursa of Fabricius in the chicken embryo

This study analyzed the transcriptome of B cells as they migrate from the spleen through the blood to the Bursa of Fabricius during chicken embryonic development. B cells were isolated from the spleen, blood and bursa on embryonic days (ED) 12, ED14 and ED16. RNA-sequencing of B cells extracted from the different tissues across the different time points was used to identify the signals and molecular mechanisms underlying early B cell migration in the chicken embryo.
