(1) Oceanographic surveys in the coastal region off Mombetsu, Hokkaido, the southern Okhotsk Sea, was carried out during sea-ice season using the icebreaker ""Garinko-II"" since 2009. Routine observations were CTD casts, Chl.a, nutrients, phytoplankton sampling, plankton nets, and primary production.
(2) Oceanographic monitoring in the Mombetsu Port, Hokkaido, the southern Okhotsk Sea, was continued at 2-7 days intervals. Routine observations were CTD casts, Chl.a, nutrients, and plankton nets.
