Oil production and decommissioning waste generated in the UK by segment 2018

Waste is generated in the operational, decommissioning and drilling part of the extraction of crude oils and natural gas. In 2018, an estimated 26,300 metric tons of sludges, liquids and tank washings were produced in waste in the United Kingdom. This compared to an estimated 19,900 metric tons of hazardous solids.
