Chromosome-level genome sequence data of Mythimna separata (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)

Chromosome-level genome sequence data of Mythimna separata (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) was constructed by long-read sequence data and short-read sequence data. Firstly the primal genome sequences were constructed using long-read sequence data with flye version 2.9-b1774, and were polished using the short-read sequence data with minimap2 version 2.17-r941 (for mapping) and pilon version 1.23. Consequently, the haplotive sequences in the assembled genome data were purged. Using the purged genome data and RNA-Seq data of Mythimna separata, the gene set data was prepared. The gene set was functionally annotated. Using the annotation data, contaminated microbial sequences in the purged genome data were checked, but such sequences were not found. The total length and N50 of the finished genome (569 contigs) are 681,943,315 bp and 2,745,150, respectively.
