Abstract
Solution of the 2D relativistic quasilinear Fokker-Planck equation is highly desirable in problems of numerical simulation of RF current drive in tokamak plasmas, especially in codes coupling ray-tracing and transport. Nature of problem
We present in this work a fast solver for the linearized 2-D relativistic Fokker-Planck equation for current drive problems. The code makes use of the accurate relativistic collision operators presented in Ref. [14]. Convergence to the steady state can be reached in about 30 iterations.
