资源简介:
Monitoring the Greenland mass balance (GMB) is crucial in the context of global sea level rise. Currently, three main methods are used to measure GMB, with the primary source of uncertainty arising from the glacial isostatic adjustment (GIA) contribution. Here, we propose a novel approach based on a simple methodology that uses the entire Greenland GNSS network (GNET) as an instrument to monitor the present-day mass changes. Our method is validated against GRACE-derived GMB, and we find a very good agreement. This leads to an independent methodology for estimating present-day mass changes from GNSS, bridging the gap between GRACE and GRACE-FO in GMB estimates., , , # Preliminary GNET-derived mass variations for Greenland [Access this dataset on Dryad](https://doi.org/10.5061/dryad.2280gb619) The Greenland mass balance (GBM) is an estimate of mass variations (ice melting) occurring in Greenland. GMB can be estimated with different techniques. GRACE-derived GMB is estimated from the monthly time series from the GRACE and GRACE-FO gravimetry satellites, according to the methodology from ESA CCI (Barletta et al., 2020). The GNET-based GMB is obtained as described in \"GNET derived Mass Balance and Glacial Isostatic Adjustment Constraints for Greenland\" by Valentina R. Barletta, Andrea Bordoni, and Shfaqat Abbas Khan. It is based on the analysis of GNSS time series from 58 stations of the Greenland GNSS-Network (GNET) described in Khan et al. (2016), which can be found in Berg et al. (2023) [https://doi.org/10.5061/dryad.9zw3r22n0](https://doi.org/10.5061/dryad.9zw3r22n0) The GNET-GMB should be considered preliminary, and should not be used as it in...
