A radio ring consistent with a shell-like supernova remnant has been recentlydiscovered around the peculiar radio-quiet pulsar Calvera. Extended gamma-rayemission is also detected in the same region with Fermi/LAT. Diffuse X-rayemission 13 west of Calvera (well inside the radio ring) is visible in MOSdata but it cannot be studied in detail because it was observed off-axis andthe pn was in small window mode. We propose the first detailed spectroscopic andmorphological X-ray study of this SNR to derive its properties and constrainits distance. This is particularly interesting due to its high Galactic latitudeand association with the peculiar pulsar Calvera. [truncated! Please see actual data for full text]
