MTR4, a Ski2-like RNA helicase, is an important regulator of RNA surveillance and degradation processes as a crucial component of the RNA exosome. Vascular smooth muscle cells are the main effector cells of abdominal aortic aneurysms. To investigate the role of MTR4 in the occurrence and progression of abdominal aortic aneurysms, we knocked down MTR4 in VSMCs by MTR4 siRNA (si-MTR4) compared with scramble siRNA-treated control cells (si-NC). RNA sequencing was performed to compare the differences in gene expression between si-NC and si-MTR4 cells.Overall design: mRNA expression was compared between control cells and siMTR4 cells.
