The land plant-specific MIXTA-MYB lineage is implicated in the early evolution of the plant cuticle and the colonization of land

We studied gene expression changes in MIXTA-MYB overexpression and knock-out lines compared to the wild type. Thalli of 10-day-old Marchantia polymorpha (Cambridge strain, male) plants grown on plates were collected for RNA-seq analysis. For each line, three biological replicates were tested. The total RNA quality was examined using the RNA 6000 nano kit (Agilent) with a Bioanalyer 2100 (Agilent). The qualified total RNA samples were sent to BGI (Hongkong, China).
