Other seawater ions, not sulfate, affect greenhouse gas emissions and microbial responses to simulated seawater intrusion in a forested coastal freshwater wetland

Soils were collected from the Timberlake wetland in North Carolina. They were incubated in the lab for 12 weeks and received either water, sulfate, artificial seawater (with sulfate), and artificial seawater without sulfate. DNA was extracted and sequenced from the soils to assess changes in microbial composition and relationships with methane flux.
