The relationship between dimensional models of personality pathology and disordered eating behaviour

The relationship between eating disorders and personality or personality disorders is an area of importance. This thesis presented a series of seven studies that sought to address two research goals. The first goal of this thesis was to explore the relationship between dimensional models of normative and pathological personality with disordered eating behaviours. The second goal was to explore the relationship between dimensional models of personality and personality pathology with personality types, in addition to the relationship between personality types and eating pathology. The research presented in this thesis has implications for assessment and treatment of eating disorders.
