资源简介:
The West African Upper Guinean forest is a global biodiversity hotspot1,2. It supports globally important ecosystem services, such as carbon sequestration, and important local benefits such as fuelwood, timber, wild foods and medicines3. However, this forest, along with its ecosystem services, has seen large declines in recent decades. Cocoa is an important historical driver and direct cause of this loss4,5,6,7,8. The map below shows the cocoa growing zones in the cocoa production countries of West Africa with current tree cover.
