资源简介:
As a cholesterol sensor, nuclear receptor liver X receptor (Lxr) activated by oxysterols is an important factor regulating cholesterol homeostasis and plays central roles in the transcriptional control of cholesterol metabolism. Lxra is one of the liver X receptor(Lxrs) subtypes. Lxra is abundantly expressed in liver, small intestine, adipose, kidney, adrenal tissues, and macrophages. Lxra's regulation of lipid metabolism is well known but its regulation of other downstream genes remains unclear. In order to investigate the regulating effect of Lxra on other genes, we used the second-generation transcriptome sequencing(RNA-seq) to determine the expression changes of each gene in Lxra-/- mices comparing with wild type mices. Overall design: Kidney and liver mRNA profiles of 5 Lxra-/- mices or 5 wild type mices were generated by deep sequencing, using Illumina HiSeqTM 4000.
