Dataset presenting the results of 2-years monitoring of subsurface sand removal from sandstone caprock in the Stołowe Mountains

This research was funded by National Science Centre, Poland, research project no. 2020/39/D/ST10/00861. This dataset presents the total volumes of sand removed outside the sandstone caprock during the 2-years field experiment conducted in the Stołowe Mountains. To run the experiment, six sand collectors were installed at the outlets of vertical fissures. The volume of sand removed was measured in approximately monthly intervals. Sand collectors SC-SzW were installed at the foot of the cliffs of the mesa of Szczeliniec Wielki, whereas sand collectors SC-BS were installed beneath the cliffs crowning the front scarp of the Białe Skały massif.
