This project aims to characterize plant-derived DNA present in the gut microbiota of honey bees using ITS2 metabarcoding. Adult honey bee gut samples were collected and analyzed to identify plant taxa associated with bee foraging activity and diet. The study provides insights into plant pollinator interactions and the botanical composition of resources utilized by honey bees.
