Images and GIS from an Evaluation at Hamblewood, Heath House Lane, Hedge End, Hampshire, July 2021

This collection comprises images and GIS from an archaeological evaluation carried out by Cotswold Archaeology at Hamblewood, Heath House Lane, Hedge End, Hampshire in July 2021. A total of 26 trenches of a planned 27 trenches were excavated. The evaluation identified low to moderate archaeological activity on the site, largely represented by ditches associated with former field systems. Of the features uncovered only a small number could be excavated and securely dated because of flooding on site. Most of the features identified on site relate to the medieval and postmedieval period, with only residual prehistoric and Roman material recovered in the features excavated.
