Die Prävention, Diagnostik und Behandlung von stressbezogenen Gesundheitsstörungen stellt besondere Herausforderungen an die Klinische Psychologie, Psychotherapie, Gesundheitspsychologie und Arbeitspsychologie. Gründe dafür sind das Kovarianzproblem sowie die enorme Komplexität krankheitsrelevanter Faktoren. Neuropattern ist ein Verfahren, welches erstmals stressbezogene Veränderungen von neurobiologischen Schnittstellen erfasst, die an der Kommunikation zwischen Gehirn und Körperorganen beteiligt sind. Gegenüber herkömmlichen korrelativen Ansätzen versucht Neuropattern kausale individuelle psychosomatische Zusammenhänge aufzeigen, wodurch die Entscheidung für gezielte präventive und therapeutische Maßnahmen erleichtert wird. The prevention, diagnosis and treatment of stress-related disorders is a real challenge for areas such as clinical psychology, psychotherapy, health psychology, and occupational psychology. Reasons are (a) the missing covariance between the psychological and physiological stress response, and (b) a tremendous intra-individual complexity of disease related factors, resulting in broad heterogenity of causal mechanisms, even in patients sharing similar symptoms. Here, we introduce a new method which allows to assess the activity of neurobiological interfaces, participating in the communication between the brain and the body under stress. In contrast to traditional correlational approaches, this method has the focus on causal individual mechanisms, associated with stress-related disturbances and diseases.
