In this study, we hypothesized that irradiating a cone-structured target with a high-contrast laser would enhance plasma heating. This hypothesis is based on previous studies suggesting that high-contrast lasers reduce the energy of fast electron distributions, and that cone structures help to suppress the divergence of fast electron beams. In this study, the following four types of experimental data were obtained and analyzed: 1.Laser Energy Purpose: To measure the laser energy on target. Instrumentation: Plasma mirror Data format: Excel file 2.X-ray Spectrum Purpose: To estimate the electron temperature of the plasma from the X-ray spectrum. Measurement system: RbAP flat crystal spectrometer and imaging plate Measurement conditions: Pixel size of 25 × 25 µm, 150 µm thick Be filter, spectral resolution of 15 eV Temperature evaluation: The electron temperature was estimated by comparing correlation coefficients with spectra calculated using PrismSPECT. Data format: CSV file, Excel file 3.Energy Spectrum of Fast Electrons Purpose: To measure the energy distribution of generated fast electrons. Measurement system: Electron energy analyzer and imaging plate Data format: Text file 4.X-ray Pinhole Camera Purpose: To obtain the laser spot size and shape from X-ray emission. Measurement system: X-ray pinhole camera and imaging plate Data format: .gel file The following findings were obtained from the experimental data: Irradiation of a cone-structured target with a high-contrast laser generated X-rays with higher photon energy. When a multi-spot high-contrast laser was focused onto a cone-structured target, the laser spots converged, resulting in a fourfold increase in laser intensity.
