资源简介:
Aluminium (Al) is wildly recognized as a scavenging-type element in the open ocean, with relatively high value in the upper layer and decreasing with depth increasing, and could be used as the tracers of water mass movement and lithogenic input. Here we present dissolved Al (dAl), total dissolved Al (tdAl) in seawater samples and dAl in five rainwater samples obtained in two spring cruises in 2021 and 2022 in the Tropical Western Pacific Ocean (3°S-21°N, 135°E-163°E). Method using for seawater samples collecting in 2021WPO cruise was using X-Vane sampler. A new sampling system called “Modular Ocean Trace Elements Sampling” (MOTES) facility was tested in 2022 WPO cruise to collect clean seawater samples. The dissolved Al was measured using online preconcentration flow injection analysis (FIA) method. Daily precision of high (~10 nM) and low (~2 nM) dAl measurement was below 2% (n=11) and 5% (n=11), respectively. The detection limit (defined as three times the blank standard deviation) was 0.18 nM (n=9). Our laboratory has produced multiple reference GEOTRACES seawater inter-calibration samples dAl determination, and the results of dAl had no significant difference with consensus value (t-test, p > 0.05). The fraction of labile particulate Al (lpAl) was calculated as the difference between the tdAl and dAl. Contact with the contributors is necessary before using this dataset.
