Species accumulation data: Mean richness values for Patagonian Steppe plant communities

This dataset provides the mean species accumulation values used to evaluate sampling effort efficiency across diverse plant communities in the Patagonian Steppe. The data are derived from an extensive field survey comprising N = 40,000 point-intercept records obtained from 400 independent transects.The dataset includes:Mean species richness per sampling point (up to 100 points) aggregated by vegetation unit. Cumulative percentage values used to determine the stabilization of richness patterns.These data support the robustness and operational efficiency of the point-intercept methodology for monitoring arid and semi-arid plant communities.
