FGOALS-g2 datasets

The ocean component of The Flexible Global Ocean-Atmosphere Land System Model grid-point version 2 (FGOALS-g2) is LASG/IAP Climate system Ocean Model version 2 (LICOM2). A nominal 1° horizontal resolution is used in its ocean component LICOM2. In order to analyze the impacts of Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation on ENSO Periodicity, two experiments are contained: (i) A experiment includes a 1,600-year control run with all forgings fixed at pre-industrial (1850) level, referred to as the ‘‘CTRL’’ experiment; (ii) A partially coupled sensitivity experiment, in which the ocean temperature of the full depth in the North Atlantic (20°-60°N, 80°-0°W) is restored to the climatological monthly mean state of the CTRL run to mute the variability in the North Atlantic and its influence on ENSO, referred to as the ‘‘NAdepth’’ experiments. Regions other than the North Atlantic are fully coupled as in ‘‘CTRL’’. The last 1000 years of data from these two experiments (CTRL and NAdepth) are presented here, with variables including the sea surface temperature, precipitation, wind stress and mixed Layer Depth.
