Coastal dune and adjoining wetland habitat linkage and values enhancement

This project will enhance the habitat values and resilience of the barrier sand dune system through activities that protect nationally, state and regionally significant plants and animals utilising the Barwon coastline. An increase in coastal population increases the threats and pressures from recreational use and control, domestic animal control, and invasion of weed species. This project provides opportunities to engage on developing understanding of natural resource management best practice and issues surrounding the coast, up-skilling on plant identification, refurbishment of infrastructure, professional development on water quality, wildlife awareness and diseases, and industry networking opportunities.
