In this study, we characterized transcriptome changes in skin fibroblasts of sporadic ALS patients (SALS) and controls and evaluated their utility as a molecular classifier for ALS diagnosis. Overall design: Whole gene expression profiles of skin fibroblasts from SALS patients and healthy controls were analyzed. Fibroblast samples were obtained from three healthy individuals and nine patients diagnosed with SALS.
