MS Silverlight App Showing Complex Color Motion Illusions

This fileset contains a Microsot Silverlight 2 application which will run on Windows PCs and MACs. The application demonstrates complex color motion standstill and capture illusions. Downnload all the files and extract them into a common directory. Open the file "ColorIllusionsStartFile.html" using your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari). If the Silverlight Plugin is not already installed, your are asked to install it. The application will start by showing a sector wheel underneath a random dot pattern. The physically turning wheel appears as standing still, i.e. the color standstill illusion. You may have to change the color settings to perceive the wheel as motion-less. Click on the marker checkbox to reveal the wheels motion. Press the "Mode"-button to chage to the 'color capture llusions' or to normal rotation. The listbox in the left upper corner changes the type of the color stimulus and/or its motion, the lower listbox changes the type of random dot pattern. Use the periodic Random Dots (RD) for rings. The flicker checkbox allows you to produce a dynamic noise by translating, rotating and scaling the random dot pattern. Uncheck this box before changing modes or figures or stimulus parameters..
