As of September 2024, Facebook in Germany was most popular amongst women in the 25 to 34 year age group, with 13.7 percent of its users belonging to this demographic. Overall, 27 percent of users were between the age of 25 to 34 years. Just six percent of total Facebook audiences in Germany were over the age of 65 years. Facebook users in GermanyThe total number of Facebook users in Germany as of September 2024 was 46.6 million. Men in the 25 to 34 year age group and women aged 35 to 44 years were the most likely audience of the instant messaging platform, with each group accounting for 13.1 percent of its user base. Social media network Instagram had 33.8 million users in Germany in 2024, a decrease of around 0.4 million users when compared to the previous year. This app was more favourable with women in the 25 to 34 year age group, followed by men of the same age range.
