The strain Aureobasidium pullulans AP11 was isolated from mangrove sediment samples collected in Hainan Province, China, demonstrating exceptional capability for efficient pullulan biosynthesis. To elucidate the genomic basis of its high-yield polysaccharide production mechanism, we performed whole-genome sequencing of this strain. This genomic investigation provides critical insights into the metabolic pathways and regulatory networks governing pullulan synthesis in A. pullulans. The resultant genomic data establishes a fundamental resource for optimizing microbial polysaccharide production systems and advancing research on exopolysaccharide biosynthesis in extremophilic fungi.
