Taraba State Population Growth Dataset

This dataset is the population simulation growth data of Taraba state obtained using exponential model and logistic model. The raw data used in generating the data points for the simulation was obtained from National Population Commission from 1991-2019. Both model parameters were estimated taking the National Population Census data conducted in 1991 with the population 1,512,184 as the initial population at time zero. The growth rate 2.9% per annum and the carrying capacity 390,578,974,38 million people were obtained. An R-squared value of 0.995 was obtained for better confidence in prediction. The simulated results data shows that the population of Taraba state will be 9.8 million people by 2055 and it is recommend that the state and federal governments use these findings to develop comprehensive plans for managing the increasing population.
