Data of seed banks in a Yangtze River-connected floodplain wetland.

This dataset contains information on the seasonal dynamics of seed banks in two dominant macrophyte communities (Carex and Miscanthus) in the Dongting Lake wetlands, China. The study investigates seed-bank densities, species richness, and vertical distribution across different seasons (November 2017, January 2018, March 2018, and May 2018) and soil layers (0–5 cm, 5–10 cm, and 10–20 cm).
