Everyday Sadism Status Classification: A Survey Dataset on Everyday Sadism Behaviors from a Bangladeshi Population.

Introduction:This document describes a novel dataset on everyday sadism behaviors, collected from a diverse cross-section of the Bangladeshi population. The dataset is intended to support research in psychology, behavioral science, and machine learning, particularly for studies on classifying sadism tendencies. Data Collection Methodology:Data was gathered via a digital survey distributed using Google Forms. The survey consisted of 20 predefined statements (A to T) designed to measure various aspects of sadism. Each question offered a 3-point Likert-scale response option: -1: Disagree, 0: Neutral, and 1: Agree. Dataset Overview: Total Samples: 500 Number of Features: 20 (A through T) Target Variable: A binary class label indicating the respondent's overall everyday sadism level. Class 0 (Non-Sadist): 260 samples (Total score < 50) Class 1 (Sadist): 240 samples (Total score >= 50) Class Label Determination:A composite sadism score was calculated for each respondent by summing their numerical responses to all 20 statements. The response options were encoded as integers (e.g., -1: Disagree, 0: Neutral, and 1: Agree). A threshold of 50 was applied to this total score to create a binary classification: Class 0: Total Score < 50 (Lower sadism tendency) Class 1: Total Score >= 50 (Higher sadism tendency) Feature Summary:The table below provides a detailed description of the survey statements (features A-T).
