Dataset for the article "Forms of violent behavior in patients with mental disorders at the University Psychiatric Clinic Ljubljana from 2018 to 2021 using the OAS/BVC scale assessment— a descriptive study"

This dataset contains anonymized data collected at the University Psychiatric Clinic Ljubljana, Slovenia, between 2018 and 2021 to monitor aggressive behavior and assess short-term violence risk among psychiatric inpatients. It includes 4,392 completed Overt Aggression Scale (OAS) and Brøset Violence Checklist (BVC) assessments. The OAS was used to document and classify aggressive incidents, while the BVC was used to assess the short-term risk of violent behavior. The dataset includes information on different forms of aggression, patient gender, ward type, and work shift characteristics and supports research on aggressive behavior and violence risk assessment in psychiatric inpatient settings.
