资源简介:
Panchakarma is a Sanskrit word, where the Panch means five and Karma refers to actions or process which involves 5 different therapies for healing the body by identifying root cause of a problem / disease and corrects the imbalances in the body by re-establishing microbes in human gut. Panchakarma therapy, five primary treatments included such as Vamana (therapeutic vomiting), Virechana (purgation), Basti (medicated enema), Nasya (nasal administration of medicines), and Raktamokshana (bloodletting). Virechana and basti stage can alter microbial composition of the gut, potentially increasing beneficial bacteria and reducing pathogenic strains. Fecal samples were collected before and after treatment from both colon cancer patients and healthy individuals to analyzing the intestinal microbiota using 16srRNA gene sequencing.
