资源简介:
This dataset refers to Final Report of the ISP round I project number 005,
which has the name "THE LAST FOUR CENTURIES OF THE CALIFORNIA CURRENT:
CALIBRATION AND INTERPRETATION FROM LAMINATED SEDIMENTS, TREE-RINGS, AND
HISTORICAL RECORDS OF SOUTHERN ALTA CALIFORNIA AND BAJA CALIFORNIA". The
climate, hydrology and natural marine resources of the western coast of the
North Americas are controlled by the California Current circulation which is an
integral part of the North Pacific climate and ocean circulation system. The
growing human population on the shores of this Current and their dependence on
changes in its strength, climate and productivity with implications on
frequencies of drought, floods and snow accumulation, quality and quantity of
fisheries and crops accentuates the need to understand and predict the possible
responses of this Current to an anticipated global warming. To find information
about this project, as well as its results, see the Final Report. Principal
Investigator >> Juan Carlos Herguera, herguera@cicese.mx, CICESE (Mexico).
