Longitudinal ICP-Related Clinical and Microbiome Metadata from the Tongji-Huaxi-Shuangliu Birth Cohort (THSBC)

This dataset originates from the ongoing Tongji-Huaxi-Shuangliu Birth Cohort (THSBC) at Shuangliu Maternal and Child Health Hospital, Chengdu, China (since 2017). A total of 7,281 pregnant women aged 18–40 years were enrolled at their first prenatal visit within 15 gestational weeks, with structured questionnaires and repeated biospecimen collection at three pregnancy windows: early (<16 weeks; T1), mid (24–28 weeks; T2), and late (>29 weeks; T3). The dataset accompanying the study “Longitudinal alterations of gut microbiota associated with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy: results from a large cohort study in China” includes:

- ICP (intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy) diagnostic information
- Baseline clinical characteristics and questionnaire-based sociodemographic/lifestyle/reproductive data
- Liver function tests (including bile acids and hepatic enzymes) with timepoints
- Adverse perinatal outcomes
- Fecal sampling metadata (collection timing and sequencing batch)
