Replacement of corn silage with mulberry leaf silage in the diet of Hu sheep on growth, gastrointestinal tissue morphology, rumen fermentation parameters and microbial diversity

The effects on mulberry leaf silage growth of the sheep, their gastrointestinal tissue morphology, rumen fermentation parameters and bacterial diversity were investigated. The results showed that the use of mulberry leaf silage to replace 20%-40% of corn silage in the diet of Hu sheep improved their growth and increased the economic benefits for farmers, while maintaining satisfactory digestion.
