Flavor precursors is the basis of meat flavor, and its metabolism is regulated by a variety of enzyme. Thus it is of great significance to excavate the key genes related to the synthesis of flavor precursors. In this research, we have identified the candidate genes of key flavor precursors by using weighted gene coexpression network analysis (WGCNA). The results of this study aid our understanding of the formation of flavor differences among breeds and individuals differing in IMF content.
