Evaluation of EHR system

Electronic health recording system is essential to facilitate clinical and administrative processes. It also allows clinical information gathering and access at the point of patient care. The advantage of implementing the system is more intensified in facilities where there is a high volume of patients, complex work flow, frequent emergency situations and involving multiple personnel. Here, we introduce that the usefulness and satisfaction with the EHR system varies by department and by specific task within a department.The study was conducted after ethical clearance was obtained from the Institutional Ethical Review Committee of Addis Ababa University School of Commerce. During the data collection period, the participants were well informed about the purpose of the study. Informed verbal consent was obtained from each participant. Involvement was fully decided by the participants. The response was confidential. The study used a formative evaluation method to address the objective. <br>电子健康记录系统（Electronic Health Recording System, EHR）是优化临床与行政业务流程的核心工具，可实现患者诊疗现场的临床信息采集与调取。在患者接诊量大、工作流程复杂、应急场景频发且涉及多人员协作的医疗机构中，部署该系统的优势尤为显著。本研究发现，医护人员对EHR系统的有用性评价及使用满意度，会因科室差异以及科室内部具体任务的不同而有所区别。本研究已获得亚的斯亚贝巴大学商学院机构伦理审查委员会的伦理审批。数据采集阶段，研究者已向所有参与者充分告知研究目的，并获取了每位参与者的口头知情同意；参与者可自主决定是否参与研究，且所有调研回复均严格保密。本研究采用形成性评价（formative evaluation）方法以达成既定研究目标。
