资源简介:
This dataset includes 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing of stool samples from participants reporting systemic malodor, People Are Allergic to Me (PATM), and idiopathic malodor conditions, including metabolic body odor (MEBO), collected as part of a virtually conducted clinical trial (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT03582826). The study aimed to investigate gut microbial composition and to identify microbial taxa associated with malodor-related phenotypes and metabolic odor disorders, including trimethylaminuria (TMAU). Among study volunteers, a subset underwent clinical testing for TMAU, with identification of both primary (genetic) TMAU and secondary (non-genetic) TMAU associated with gut microbial dysbiosis. These data support the findings reported in Gabashvili IS, JMIR Dermatology 2020;3(1):e10508. Raw sequence data are provided to support transparency, reproducibility, and secondary analyses of microbiome-odor associations.
