"Christliche Familie" ("Christian family"). In front of a house with loamed walls and a roof thatched with plant fiber. An elderly woman sitting on a chair. Nine other men, women and children gathered around her. Possibly the family of assistant teacher Elijahu (?). The man in the door to the house possibly the scribe Simon (?).; Cf. photo no. 41, album no. 17. -- Leonhard Blumer (1878-1938), from Kida in Estonia, served the Leipzig Mission as pastor and teacher in Arusha from 1907 to 1930 (apart from home leave in 1912-1913 and 1924-1926).
