Stories of my Dog's Life 2022

The dataset consists of self-administered written texts on the lives of pet dogs. The data were originally collected for a Master's thesis. The writing guidelines directed participants to write about the lives of their pet dogs. Respondents could describe individual events or outline their dog's life story. Respondents were given questions to facilitate writing, e.g. what kind of character their dog has and what kind of life experiences their dog has had. Respondents were also asked about their dog's everyday habits and whether their dog has any special skills. Background information included the participant's gender, age group, and type of location. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD. The dataset is only available in Finnish.
