Replication Data for: Seasonal Climate Hazards, Cereal Yield Risk, and Regional Heterogeneity in Kazakhstan

This dataset contains the replication materials for the article Seasonal Climate Hazards, Cereal Yield Risk, and Regional Heterogeneity in Kazakhstan. It includes oblast-year panel data for Kazakhstan covering the period 2015–2024, together with supporting files used to reproduce the empirical results, tables, and figures reported in the manuscript. The dataset combines cereal yield observations with seasonal weather anomaly indicators derived from ERA5-Land Monthly Aggregated reanalysis data, including temperature, precipitation, and wind anomalies measured relative to the 1991–2020 climatological normal. Two seasonal windows are used in the analysis: a broad April–August growing-season window and a narrower June–July critical-phase window. The repository also contains zone-tag files for stratified analysis, code files for all tables and figures, and documentation describing the folder structure and replication workflow. In addition, the package includes the derived input files used for the hazard-to-loss translation reported in Table 6. Together, these files allow full reproduction of the fixed-effects models, robustness checks, zonal estimates, and graphical outputs presented in the study.
