Computational meshes of the cardiac left ventricle

A dataset of left ventricle (LV) anatomies used to study current applications of Simpson's bi-plane rule (SBR), and to develop a new robust standard for LV volume quantification. The cardiac LV meshes are representative of 3 cohorts:- UKBB: an adult healthy population (61.4 ± 7.5 y.o., n = 4113).- YHC: a young population (26.4 ± 2.1 y.o., n = 225).- HFC: a heart failure population (69 ± 11.2 y.o., n = 50).Meshes are provided in VTK format for easier compatibility.Meshes within each population have node correspondence.Meta-data includes the labels for the endo-epicardium layers, as well as the inner and outer rims of the LV base.A detailed description of the framework for LV volume quantification using these meshes can be found in the 'Framework for LV volume quantification.docx' document.
