资源简介:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of both oceanic carbon dioxide made by Michel Frankignoulle and oceanic ammonium made by Xose Salgado Alvarez during the RRS Charles Darwin 110B research cruise on the Iberian Slope in the North-East Atlantic, as part of the Joint Global Ocean Flux Study (JGOFS) and the Ocean Margins EXchange (OMEX) programmes. The cruise began on 6th January 1998 and ended on 19th January 1998 with a spatial coverage of +41N and +43N latitude and +9W and +11W longitude.
The data set consists of:
-57 measurements of the partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) in the water column, computed from pH and alkalinity;
-57 measurements of the concentration of carbon (total inorganic) (TCO2) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase), computed from pH and alkalinity; and
-111 measurements of the concentration of ammonium (NH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by colorimetric analysis.
See below for further details.
