Effects of a Multi-Strain Lactic and Propionic Acid Bacteria In-oculant on Silage Quality, Methane Emissions, Milk Composi-tion, and Rumen Microbiome

This study tested whether adding beneficial bacteria to grass during silage preparation could improve dairy cow performance and reduce methane emissions. Cows fed the treated silage produced more and higher-quality milk, digested feed more efficiently, and released less methane. Sequencing was used to analyze changes in the microbial community in the stomach of the cow linked to these improvements.
