PHYTOLITH AND STARCH ANALYSIS OF FEATURE FILL AND SEDIMENT SAMPLES FROM SITE 48SW8810, SWEETWATER COUNTY, WYOMING

A total of 14 sediment samples and feature fill samples were submitted for phytolith and starch grain analysis from an Archaic Period campsite located in Sweetwater County, Wyoming. Samples consisted of controls collected from around the site and from various types of intramural features excavated into room floors. This analysis was undertaken to better understand feature function and some of the plant resources utilized by the site occupants.本次共提交了来自美国怀俄明州斯威特沃特县一处古风时期（Archaic Period）营地遗址的14份沉积物样本与遗迹填充样本，以供植硅体（phytolith）与淀粉粒（starch grain）分析使用。本次分析所用样本涵盖遗址周边的对照样本，以及从发掘揭露的房址地面下的各类墙内遗迹中采集的填充样本。开展本次分析旨在更好地厘清该遗址遗迹的功能，以及遗址先民所利用的部分植物资源。
