The SeisDAS project aimed to evaluate distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) signals in cross-well and surface seismic applications for high-resolution subsurface imaging. Several tests were conducted within this project using different energization methods and acquisition systems. The experiment Exp3 consists of a vertical seismic profiling (VSP) survey conducted in the PITOP4 well, using a Vibroseis truck (Minivib) as the acoustic source and both cemented and suspended downhole DAS fibre-optic cables as receivers.
