Transcriptome and long non-coding RNA analysis of adipose tissue from broilers fed standard and high caloric diet.

This study was aimed at comparing the transcriptome profile of adipose tissue derived from 8-week old broilers fed standard and high caloric diets. the sequencing data was used to identify the long non-coding RNAs in the adipose tissue. Differentially expressed genes from this study were used to determine the pathways enriched in birds fed standard and high caloric diet. The long non-coding RNAs from this study can be used to study the mechanisms of fat accretion in broilers.
